Creating Connections in Hypnosis

In this practical presentation, you will explore ways of connecting individual clients with their own unique resources by exploring activities they like, connecting with these hypnotically, and transferring these resources to the problem experience so a unique solution can emerge respectfully and effectively. The presentation will include the underlying principles of this approach, clinical examples, and an exercise for participants to experience and translate readily into their practice.

Rob McNeilly was a medical doctor in family medicine practice in Melbourne, Australia for 10 years, and after meeting and learning with Milton Erickson in the late 70s, incorporated his approach into a private hypnotherapy practice. He has been teaching his version of Erickson's approach locally, nationally and internationally for more than 30 years. He is a regular invited presenter at Ericksonian Congresses, including the first, in 1980. Students appreciate his solid, humble down-to-earth approach.

Rob also founded the Centre For Effective Therapy and the Milton H. Erickson Institute Of Tasmannia to introduce Ericksonian Hypnosis and the Solution Oriented Approach to Australia. He is co-author, with Jenny Brown, of Healing With Words, and author of Healing the Whole Person. Crown House published a series of DVD demonstrations of counseling and hypnosis
